Miracle Home Facial with Three Easy Ingredients
This Miracle home facial works great for men, women and teenagers. It’s super easy to have a luxury spa quality facial results at home. Using just three easily accessible powerhouse ingredients you can transform your skin — from home! After a single application there is noticeable improvement to skin hydration, balance and tone. This home treatment is a miracle.
The full treatment involves two masks. The first mask uses two of the easy ingredients, Amla Powder and Apple Cider Vinegar. The second mask is only honey. Each mask is applied and left on face from 10-20 minutes, so allow enough time for both. I like to do them a night or two before a big event. The first mask (vitamin C mask) can leave you with a red face for an hour. They work best when done together, but either mask has big benefits, so one mask can be used when in a time pinch.
These ingredients can all be purchased at local coops or grocery stores. You can also get them on Amazon.com.
Mask One: Super Vitamin C – Lighten, Tighten & Exfoliate
- Amla Powder + Apple Cider Vinegar
- Make a paste. Apply paste to skin.
- Let sit until dry (about 15-20 mins).
- Rinse: Gently rub in circles while washing to exfoliate skin.
Have you heard of Amla powder? It is also known as Indian Gooseberry or Amalaki. It is an Ayurvedic gem and has been used for centuries as a beauty secret. It’s considered a superfood. It is rich in Vitamin C, Calcium and Iron.
You can make a paste with floral water or oil, but we really love how Apple Cider Vinegar works on facial skin. Use the raw Apple Cider Vinegar that contains “the mother.” This is a fermented process where enzymes and other nutrients are reserved. It is rich in Alpha Hydroxy acids which help dissolve fatty deposits on the skin and dead skin cells which appear as little flakes or dry patches, revealing a fresher and healthier complexion once removed.
Note: don’t get too close to eyes. The Apple Cider Vinegar is strong and it may make your eyes and nose water a bit. Some people are sensitive to this ingredient. It is always smart to do a sample test on hand first.
Rinse face. I like to use a washcloth and gently scrub face to remove mask for an exfoliating effect.
Now it is time to apply Mask Two.
Mask Two: Hydrate and Heal
- Manuka Honey
- Apply a thin layer to face.
- Leave on skin for 15-20 mins.
- Rinse Face.
Manuka honey is a very special honey. It comes from the flowers of the Manuka bush (also know as Tea Tree). Something in this pollen when converted to honey contains very high levels of antibacterial qualities. It is so high in Manuka honey, that it has long been used in the treatment of burns, infection and other skin conditions. Authentic Manuka Honey is given a rating for potency. To be considered potent enough to be therapeutic, Manuka honey needs a minimum rating of 10 UMF.
For a face mask, any raw honey will do — but the Manuka honey is especially effective. It is thicker than regular honey, so it doesn’t drip while on your face. It can soothe acne, promote healing, fight infection and hydrate skin. Just apply a thin layer to face and let it soak in for 10- 20 mins. Then rinse with warm water and a washcloth.
You can also use Manuka Honey as a spot treatment for acne. Just add a droplet to face and let the honey work it’s magic.
There you have it. These simple, powerful, natural, easily procured ingredients that are fabulous as a facial. You will be awed and amazed by the results when used regularly. Get ready for a very happy face and appearance.
